Make Your Own Korean Lantern
🐯 Chuseok Cheongsachorong workshop at Horangi
A cosy afternoon making your own Cheongsa-chorong, the traditional red-and-blue silk lanterns once carried at Korean celebrations, to take home and keep the glow going.
The workshop will be led by Hyekyung Choi, a designer who creates hands-on learning experiences through craft, culture and creative making. Following her MA in Art and Design in Education from University College London, she has developed creative programmes with bespoke craft models that translate traditional ideas and techniques into accessible, contemporary experiences through practical, hands-on learning. She currently collaborates with the Korean Cultural Centre UK on 'K-Creative' sessions and provides curated cultural programmes to educational institutions across the UK & the British Museum in London.
